Trees of Mystery

What we are? We are an 8/10th's of a mile groomed interpretive trail through the awe-inspiring Redwoods of Northern California.  Part of the trail (The Trail of Tall Tales) is devoted to the myth and mythology of PAUL BUNYON, American's larger-than-life logger from the turn of the century.  The trail, museum, gift shop, and restaurant are geared toward the family or group traveler.  Plan to spend at least half a day here, there is much to see and do!  The Trees of Mystery is located on Highway 101, a few miles north of the Klamath Camper Corral RV resort.

Tour-Through Tree

Fern Canyon is one of the many walking trails available in the Redwood National Forest.  The drive to the trail head is worthwhile in and of itself.  It opens onto the beaches of the Pacific Ocean after it passes herds of elk while winding up and down rolling hills and through beautiful redwood forests.  The trail itself follows a small stream, winding back and forth until it suddenly opens into a staggeringly beautiful canyon, its 50' vertical walls cloaked in eight species of ferns, its silence broken only by the contented gurgle of the stream.
